So you found a girl who thinks really deep thoughts
Basics.
NAME/NICKNAMES: Ariel Ann Mitchell // Ari GENDER: Female BIRTHDAY/AGE: December 24, 2005 // 18 years old SEXUALITY: Heterosexual OCCUPATION: College Student // part-time at a secondhand clothing shop APPEARANCE: A meek 5'3, Ariel has a thin, slender frame that accomodates her short stature. She's got a small bust, small hands, and small feet to match the rest of her. Her naturally medium blond hair is usually kept long, but never shorter than her shoulders.
Her wardrobe consists of anything and everything that breathes and moves freely. It's rare to see her in a pair of jeans, not a fan of fabric against her legs. She owns mostly long skirts and dresses, complete with light shaws and blouses. Some would say she's got a hippie fashion sense. Her jewelry is all second hand, more inclined to the styles of the 40s and 50s than the bling-bling of closer decades. She likes her sandals and heels, and she doesn't own a pair of sneakers.
Make-up is no half-way thing for her. Either it's light and barely there, or completely dramatic. It's more plain-jane for her normally, the real colorings only coming out on occasion.
Supernatural.
Sonic Scream - the ability to generate vocal sounds of a higher amplitude than a normal human, creating shock waves of energy. In combination with her wind manipulation, she's capable of making her voice travel with the wind to distances around the world. Air Elemental {Level 3} - Ability to control, generate, or absorb air or wind. She can create strong gusts of winds and ask the wind to tell her all that it hears. She can suck the air away from another or give them life saving air, and can use the wind to lift her up off the ground by a few feet. Orbing - Ability to teleport, taking the form of whitelights. Ability is only possessed by Whitelighters and Half-Whitelighters.
Personality.
Thanks to the first decade of quiet years, all the rest were filled with more than her share of words. Ariel talks a lot, though when she speaks, her voice is light and airy. She's not a shy girl by any means, but more proper and confident in a healthy sense. She has always had a very black and white view of right and wrong, being the obedient daddy's girl of a chief parole officer. She's polite and respectful of her elders, and she loves to sit down with them and hear the stories of their own youth. One could say Ari is an old soul, aged with maturity of a middle aged adult.
Though almost exactly alike in their looks, Ariel has many different traits than her twin. While Charlotte is studious with her studies, Ariel is easily distracted. Her attention span can never stay serious long, flittering off as simply as the wind changes direction. She's a bit flighty and has a tendency to point out the obvious.
She's got a light, serene attitude towards life and magic, content with the world she was born in. She's new to the world around her in a social sense, not finding her first romance until she was 18 years old.

Personal Biography.
The second born child to Whitelighter and Charmed One, Paige Matthews, and her mortal husband, Henry, Ariel was only 10 minutes ahead of her twin, Charlotte. Both girls joined older brother, Henry Jr, the little family living in a house their parents bought mere months after the marriage began.
When the time of first words came and went for Charlotte, Ariel had never made a peep. In fact, she rarely cried and when she did, they were soft, very delicate sounds. By age 4, she still hadn't spoken yet. Paige and Henry were concerned that something was wrong with her, but no doctor could tell them what the problem was. As a last resort, Paige sought council from the Elders, finding out that little Ari's problem wasn't mortal, but magical. Her vocal cords were magically expanded, making speech a difficult task for her. Like a trumpet player trying to play a tuba.
The next few years, Ariel was kept home and schooled by her mother, considering her special condition. Paige and her daughter together learned to sign, the two communicating like that on a regular basis. Over time, at about age 9, Ariel's second power manifested, enabling her to speak.
She became a young elemental, capable of control over the wind. In combination with her sonic windpipes, she learned to control her intake of breath enough to make sound. At first it was always a whisper, but quickly grew to the volume of everyone else's. Though because of the repeated, nearly silent years of her life, Ariel speaks in a soft, feathery voice to this day.
At age 13, she started full-time into the Magic School, joining her siblings who were already there. She was a 'C' student in her classes, always average when it came to books. She always had a small, well-knit circle of friends that she kept to, including her twin, her cousins, Melinda and Parker, and a few select friends.
Magical studies went just the same as her grades did, about average. She could cast well enough, brew potions with a 65% success rate. As for remembering spells and potion recipes? Nope, that went over her head. Now faces? She never forgot those. She remembered everyone she's ever met.
With her 16th birthday, she got a present better than a driver's liscense; she developed Orbing. The whitelighter in her blood had finally emerged. As she grew older, her control over the wind expanded as well, able to not only control, but create and speak across the winds. Her sonic voice could scream and disable anyone within earshot, or it could whisper and be heard across the world.
Along with cousins Melinda and Parker, Ariel was chosen to be a part of the new Power of Three. The girls were hand picked by Piper, Phoebe, and Paige because of the daughters' moral standards and the sisters' confidence in the girls' responsibility. This was brought on by the rise of the Underworld, the family needing to take on their destiny once again.
From the very start of it, tensions arose between Ariel and her newly magically teammates. She resented the fact that she had to share her powers in combination with them, feeling she hadn't any say in whether or not she wanted that responsibility. Everything in her life up until then had been simple and easy; things were complicated then, the world turning from black and white to a vivid multi-colored collage.
One can often spot her in second hand stores looking for odd clothing and unusual jewelry, also because she works at a downtown thrift store when she's not at school.
